Lim Si Wan recently made headlines with his special appearance in tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Missing: The Other Side”. 

Amid hot topics about Lim Si Wan’s cameo appearance, some viewers showed admiration for his acting and re-examined his predebut story.

Before becoming an actor, Lim Si Wan used to be active as an idol. He participated in a Chin Chin Star Festival but failed right in the preliminary round. 

However, a casting staff from Star Empire recognized his potential and talent so they selected him to become their trainee. Lim Si Wan later debuted in the entertainment industry as a member of the nine-member boy group ZE:A in 2010.

Apart from his idol activities, Lim Si Wan also carried out acting activities although he has never taken acting classes. 

In 2012, Lim Si Wan passed the audition to star in the famous historical drama “Moon Embracing the Sun” and later made his face known to the public with his impressive acting performances. At that time, many people were shocked to find out that he was an idol.

Since then, Lim Si Wan has built a solid filmography by starring in various successful works, such as “Misaeng”, “Hell Is Other People”, “Run On”, etc., and gained recognition for his acting skills despite being an idol-turned-actor.

He will personally meet fans by holding a fanmeeting in Tokyo on Feb 2nd & 3rd and a concert in Korea on Feb 11th. Im Si Wan’s new movie “Unlocked” is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on Feb 17th. His other acting project “1947 Boston” will also be released in September.
