“Drunk Driving” Male Idol Responds Directly to Being Called “Human Trash”

A male idol who committed drunk driving has published a video responding to harsh criticisms directed at himself.

Recently, a video titled “Thank you for coming l Kangin’s reading comments” was uploaded to the YouTube channel of former Super Junior member Kangin.

In the video, Kangin opened by sharing an update, saying, “I’ve been working out hard and staying bright.”

Then, he immediately dived into reading comments. In particular, Kangin responded to a comment calling him “human trash” by saying, “It’s been a while. How have you been?” with a conflicted smile. To the comment “Live properly,” he replied, “That’s not wrong. Although I keep referring to it as ‘a mistake from the past,’ I truly keep it in my heart.”

Previously, Kangin was involved in two drunk driving incidents, among other controversies like assault disputes, which led to his departure from Super Junior and subsequent self-reflection.

Recently, Kangin has begun communicating with the audience again. In response to the comment “You seem much softer now. It’s nice to see this side of you,” Kangin remarked, “I think it’s more about the fact that my past wrongdoings created that image of me.”

In the same video, Kangin also addressed Super Junior’s Leeteuk’s recent controversial comment. Last May, at Ryeowook’s wedding, both former and current Super Junior members, including Kangin, were present. At the event, Leeteuk had said, “You are now seeing Kangin, who has spent more time in self-reflection than in activities,” and asked for forgiveness on Kangin’s behalf, which drew attention.

Kangin explained, “I can’t go into details about the situation, but Teukie (nickname for Leeteuk) didn’t say it with any particular intention. The atmosphere was bright, and it was to ease the awkwardness. The article came out unintentionally, so please don’t misunderstand. I want to apologize because I might have put Teukie in a difficult position. Super Junior fans, if you want to criticize, please direct it at me,” bowing his head in apology.

Concluding the comment-reading session, Kangin said, “After reading both positive and negative comments, the overall message seems to be ‘Don’t make mistakes,’ ‘Don’t come back too soon.’ Thinking positively, I see these as concerns for me. I’ll make sure to have a good time ahead.”
