Actor Kang Dong-won said he wanted to appear in a drama
Kang Dong-won has been working hard without a break recently. However, he has not made any drama appearances since “Magic” in 2004. After the pandemic, the film industry faced a big loss and OTT began to grow fast. As a result, movie directors and actors are also taking steps to enter the OTT world.
In a recent interview with Herald POP at a cafe in Anguk-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Kang Dong-won emphasized that he would do a series if he met a script suitable for him.
That day, the actor said, “When OTT first appeared, I already proposed the idea of producing a series”.
He continued, “I told people around me that we should make a novel-based series, but it’s almost 10 years since I said that”.
Kang Dong-won confessed, “I ended up not filming any series”, adding “But I’m receiving many casting offers for OTT dramas. If there is a script that I like, I’ll going to do it”.
Meanwhile, Kang Dong-won’s new film “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” tells about fake exorcist Dr. Cheon (Kang Dong-won) who cannot see ghosts but solves the case with ghost-like insights getting commissioned for a powerful possession case he has never experienced before. It is currently screened in theaters and has received favorable reviews from viewers.
