A new actor was chosen to fill the vacancy of Lee Ji-han, who died in the Itaewon disaster
Actor Lee Jung-jun will join MBC’s “Season of Kkokdu” in place of the late Lee Ji-han, who unfortunately passed away.
Lee Jung-jun left a short but strong impression as the minor role “Administrator No.7” in Netflix’s “Squid Game“.
Spotv News exclusively reported on Nov 7th that Lee Jung-jun will replace the late Lee Ji-han in “Season of Kkokdu”. Lee Jung-jun will play Han Gye-jeol (Im Soo-hyang)’s ex-boyfriend Jung Yi-deun.
According to the media, the production team decided to replace the late Lee Ji-han with a new actor after a long discussion as there was much more to be filmed than the amount that the late Lee Ji-han finished filming.
Lee Jung-jun appeared as a minor character in “Squid Game” but left a short and strong impression. He is currently active in SBS’ Monday-Tuesday drama “Cheer Up“.
“Season of Kkokdu” is about a grim reaper named Kkokdu who visits the mortal world every 99 years to punish humans. He meets Han Gye-jeol, a doctor with mysterious abilities, and starts working as a visiting doctor. The drama is scheduled to premiere next year.
Last month, a massive crushing disaster occurred in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul as a large crowd gathered to enjoy the Halloween festival. The late Lee Ji-han became a victim of the disaster.
