“Season of Kkokdu” resumes filming today (Nov 7th)… The production team is looking for a new actor to replace the late Lee Ji Han

MBC’s new drama “Season of Kkokdu” resumes filming.

An official from the production team of “Season of Kkokdu” said to JTBC Entertainment News on November 7th, saying “The drama ‘Season of Kkokdu’, which stopped filming due to the sad news of the late actor Lee Ji Han, will resume filming today”.

'Produce 101' Lee Ji-han

The late actor Lee Ji Han died in a disaster that happened in Itaewon on October 29th. At that time, the deceased was participating in the filming of “Season of Kkokdu”. Considering the fact that there are more scenes to shoot in the future than the part filmed with Lee Ji Han, the production team decided to find a new actor to replace Lee Ji Han. The production team held an emergency meeting after the death of the deceased and they reportedly contacted new actors after making a casting list.

“Season of Kkokdu” tells a fantasy romantic story that begins when grim reaper Kkokdu, who visits the mortal world every 99 years to punish drama, meets Han Gye Jeol, a doctor with mysterious abilities, and starts working as a visiting doctor. Screenwriter Kang Lee Heon and Heo Jun Woo of “Less Than Evil”, director Baek Soo Chan of “Alice” “Reunited Worlds” & “Beautiful Gong Shim”, and director Kim Ji Hoon of “Check Out the Event” joined forces to depict a special romance between those from this world and the next world. Actors Kim Jung Hyun, Im Soo Hyang, Kim Da Som, and Cha Chung Hwa will appear in this drama. The first episode is scheduled to air next year.
