Meeting Kang Dong Won, Han Ji Min, and IU… the holiday will be well spent at Busan International Film Festival
The 27th Busan International Film Festival is finally held normally for the 1st time in 3 years, and its 4th day of opening is filled with big stars.
A variety of face-to-face events and open talks will be presented at the 2022 Busan International Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as BIFF) on October 8th. The guest lineup is gorgeous, and thanks to the Hangeul Day holiday that runs from the weekend to October 10th, it is expected that many audiences will be able to visit.
First, an open talk of “Broker” will be held on the outdoor stage of the Seoul Cinema Center at noon (Korean time) on the same day. The open talk will welcome director Hirokazu Koreeda as well as cast members Lee Ji Eun (IU) and Lee Joo Young. Meanwhile, at 1 pm KST, an open talk will be held for the Netflix movie “20th Century Girl”, which stars Kim Yoo Jung.
At 4 pm, the 4th Asia Contents Awards (hereinafter referred to as ACA) will be held at the outdoor theater of the Seoul Cinema Center. ACA 2022 is an awards ceremony for excellent TV, OTT, and online content across Asia, and is held for the first time in 3 years since the COVID-19 outbreak. It will be hosted by famous actor Jung Hae In and Kim Se Yeon – the winner of the 2019 Miss Korea.
At 6 pm, audiences can meet Han Ji Min at the KNN Tower KNN Theater, where the event “Actor’s House” is held.
At 1 pm on October 9th, an outdoor stage greeting of the movie “Anchor” will be held on the outdoor stage of the Cinema Center, and an open talk of “Open the Door” will be held at 1:30 pm. Then, at 2:30 pm, there will be an outdoor stage greeting for “Storyteller”, followed by one for “The Highway Family” at 3 pm, and one for “Next Sohee” at 4 pm.
“Actor’s House” with Kang Dong Won will open at 7 pm at the KNN Tower KNN Theater, while Shim Eun Kyung will join the special talk “Looking into Your Eyes” at the Central Theater of the Seoul Cinema Center right after the screening at 8 pm.
An open talk of “Riceboy Sleeps” will be held on the outdoor stage of the Seoul Cinema Center at 4 pm on October 10th. At 5 pm, there will be “Ajudam Cinema Together: Female Director and Female Music Director”, while “Ajudam Cinema Together: Independent Movie Star Actor” will meet with the audience at 6pm.
In addition, at Haeundae Event Plaza, Busan Citizens Park in Busanjin-gu, and Dadaepo Beach Park, you can also attend different events at the BIFF’s spin-off Festival and Community Corner, where there will be an audience participation program. Here, there will be Director Kim Ji Woon of “Sweet Life”, “Master Talk” where you can communicate with Lee Byung Hun, late-night screening of “Sweet Life” while drinking alcohol, a Movie Quiz Contest, and interactive games at “Game Theater: The Cinema of Your Choice”, which is expected to get a favorable response from the audience.
