One action of Song Joong Ki’s father may give clues to the true relationship between Song Hye Kyo and her in-laws.
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo used to be one of the most powerful couples in the Korean entertainment industry after their marriage in 2017. Unfortunately, they ended up parting ways just 2 years later, but this didn’t stop netizens from mentioning their names together.
Recently, a group of fans have visited Song Joong Ki’s parents’ house in Daejeon, and noticed quite a peculiar detail. In particular, after being warmly welcomed by Joong Ki’s father, they got invited inside to take photos. According to them, there were plenty of Joong Ki pictures on the wall, but one stood out spectacularly: it was Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo together while starring in “Descendants of The Sun”.
The reveal has kicked up many discussions, where several assumed that Song Hye Kyo’s relationship with her previous in-laws was not as intense as old rumors. Howevers, others argued that the picture was just Song Joong Ki’s father being proud of his son’s career and nothing else.
In the past, when the Song-Song couple first confirmed their relationship, Song Joong Ki’s father used to be criticized for commenting about Song Hye Kyo’s age. “It’s a pity that Song Hye Kyo is older than my son,” the father allegedly said.
He later clarified that he had no complaints about his “beautiful daughter-in-law”, and even asked his friends to support Song Hye Kyo’s series “Encounter”.
