27 years of experience…7 representative works of “The Glory” Song Hye Kyo

Actress Song Hye Kyo (born in 1981) debuted in 1996 at the age of 15 through the SunKyung Smart Model Contest. 

After that, she took part in various acting activities and became a top star by appearing in KBS’ drama “Autumn in My Heart” (2000).

“Autumn in My Heart”

Song Hye Kyo played the tragic heroine Choi Eun Suh, who is about to die of leukemia, in KBS2’s drama “Autumn in My Heart” (2000). It is the only work that ended in tragedy among Song Hye Kyo’s works. Its highest rating is 42.3%. This is the highest rating among KBS’ Monday-Tuesday dramas.

“All In”

In 2003, she played the main character Min Su Yeon in SBS’ drama “All In”, which deals with the casino world. Song Hye Kyo’s performance received a great response from viewers. Even though “All In” had the limitation of “Adults Only” (19+), it recorded an average rating of close to 40%.

“Full House”

In this drama, Song Hye Kyo played Oh Young, a blind person. She drew attention for her pathetic romance with Oh Soo (Jo In Sung), a man who takes advantage of her to pay off his debts.

“Descendants of the Sun”

In KBS2’s drama “Descendants of the Sun” (2016), Song Hye Kyo played Kang Mo Yeon, a tenacious doctor. The work hit the jackpot with an average rating of 14.5%. She later developed into lovers with her co-star Song Joong Ki and got married on Oct 31st, 2017. However, the two shocked many fans as they announced their divorce after just 2 years.

“The Glory”

This is Song Hye Kyo’s first Netflix work. “The Glory“, which was released this year, marks Song Hye Kyo and writer Kim Eun Sook’s reunion after 6 years since “Descendants of the Sun” (2016). “The Glory” revolves around Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo), a former victim of school violence who seeks revenge on her bullies after taking up a job as a homeroom teacher at the elementary school of the bully’s child. Season 2 will be released on March 10th.
