Zheng Shuang’s peaceful life with two children
Zheng Shuang is starting a new life with her parents and raising children in the US.
On December 16th, Zheng Shuang posted a photo of herself with her children in the US on a trip to see the aircrafts. The children in the pictures were not revealed to protect their privacy. They are a pair of twins, a boy and a girl, who are turning two this year.
According to an informant, Zheng Shuang and Zhang Heng, her ex-boyfriend, are amending their relationship. They agreed to raise their children together in the best way possible. Zhang Heng frequently allowed the twins to meet and hang out with their mother to strengthen their bonds.
In 2021, the relationship between the two endured great tension resulting from the constant legal battles. Zhang Heng was the one accusing her of tax evasion which prompted an investigation on Zheng Shuang. She was later fined 46 million USD for the said charge and erased from the Chinese entertainment scene.
Zheng Shuang was once a favorite Chinese actress for her appearances in “Meteor Shower,” “Love O2O” and “Rush to the Dead Summer.” In 2021 she was removed from the scene for a series of scandals relating to tax evasion, surrogacy and child abandonment.
In the last one year, Zheng Shuang enjoyed her stay in the US by focusing on reading, learning a foreign language, taking care of pets and experiencing the local cultures. Her social media was filled with everyday happiness.
The actress shared that she wanted to complete her life, take care of herself and the twins before moving on to other plans in the future. Her parents have also left China and gone to the US with their daughter for many months.
In August, she confessed on her 31st birthday that her children were her reasons to keep on living and overcoming difficulties. She expressed that: “No matter how many people misunderstood me, I am not afraid to prove myself and my strength. Seeing the smiles on my children, I know I am on the right track.”
According to the US court’s ruling, Zheng Shuang does not have guardianship over her children but is allowed to visit them 3 days a week, each visit lasting a maximum 2 hours and a half. She decorated her place in a child-safe manner and placed the toys and mattress to bring her children to her home. She alo signed up for a child-rearing course and joined in therapy sessions with professionals.
Many times Zheng Shuang expressed her regrets and wanted to rebuild her career but was not welcomed by the audience. She gradually settled with the reality that she could not return to the Chinese entertainment scene.
Before being removed, Zheng Shuang was called the “goddess of youth” in C-biz for her pure image and was the youngest actress to be nominated for ‘Best Actress’ at the 25th “Golden Rooster Awards.”
In 2012, Zheng Shuang was nominated ‘Best New Performer’ at the 31st “Hong Kong Film Awards” and another nomination for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ at the 9th “Macau International Film Festival” in 2017. In the same year, she appeared in Forbes China “30 Under 30 Asia.”
