Yoo Jae-suk Suddenly Faces Personality Controversy Raised By A Junior? “Just Voluntarily Leave ‘Running Man’”
SBS’s entertainment program “Running Man” broadcast on January 14th featured the winter festival special episode.
“Running Man” members gathered in one place for the opening and announced, “We won Best Program”. They also delivered their congratulation to Ji Seok-jin, who won Producer Award at the 2023 SBS Entertainment Awards, although he was absent due to health issues.
Yoo Jae-suk then asked Song Ji-hyo, “You haven’t won an award for a long time, right?”. Yang Se-chan suggested, “Let’s get Best Couple”, but Haha refuted, saying “Tying the two together? I hate it”, making Song Ji-hyo, whose love line changes gradually from Haha to Gary to Kim Jong-kook and then Yang Se-chan, burst into laughter.
Introducing Jo Se-ho as the special guest of that episode, Yoo Jae-suk said, “A familiar person is coming to fill the vacancy of Ji Seok-jin”. Then, the artists to celebrate the winter festival with “Running Man” members were revealed to be Super Junior’s vocalist Kyuhyun and comedian Uhm Ji-yoon.
The mission that day was to cook spicy fish stew with fish caught with a fishing rod. Kim Jong-kook was in charge of cleaning the fish since everyone avoided it. Uhm Ji-yoon and Jo Se-ho also gave their helping hands while Yoo Jae-suk kept avoiding the fish. In that situation, Uhm Ji-yoon laughed and asked, “Senior, you’re so mean. How did you become ‘National MC’?”, adding “I thought you would be very nice when meeting in real life, but now I think your personality is not that good”, drawing laughter.
Kim Jong-kook also expressed frustration at Yoo Jae-suk. He shouted, “Stop opening the lid”. Yoo Jae-suk complained, “I’m already 53 but I got scolded the most by him”, then argued with Kim Jong-kook whether they should put the fish in the spicy stew or not. Witnessing the fight, Uhm Ji-yoon said, “They’re such a mess. When I watched ‘Running Man’, I thought Jong-kook oppa was planning something with Jae-suk oppa, but he was just another bad guy”, adding “Yoo Jae-suk is such a villain, please leave the team voluntarily”. Yoo Jae-suk closed his eyes tightly as he felt dizzy due to the blunt comment of his junior.
