On March 11th, a video titled “Suran is an excuse” was uploaded to the YouTube channel “DdeunDdeun”. In the video, Yoo Jae Suk had a talk with Jo Se Ho and Lee Dong Wook at Nam Chang Hee’s house.
In the video, Yoo Jae Suk mentioned once again mentioned the fake news related to the recent controversy over his family moving house to Daechi-dong. Yoo Jae Suk said, “I can move my home to any area I want. Even if I moved, that’s nothing strange to talk about”. He also expressed his frustration, saying, “It’s ridiculous that something becomes true the moment they said, ‘he did it’, rather than ‘it is rumored that he did it’.”
He continued, “Saying ‘It’s not me, so it’s okay’ and moving on is a problem that could potentially harm someone else. There is even a rumor of children in that apartment complex calling out my name and searching for me.”
Previously, Yoo Jae Suk suffered fake news claiming that he had moved to Daechi-dong for his children’s education. On a broadcast of MBC’s variety show “Hangout with Yoo”, he explained, “I didn’t move to the place people are talking about. I’m not moving anywhere. I need to correct this rumor.”
Appearing on Song Eun Yi and Kim Sook’s program, Yoo Jae Suk once again denied the rumor of him moving house. At the time, he confessed, “Moving house is not wrong, but the problem is that fake news is spreading like a fact. The most frustrating thing is that the victim of such a rumor has to explain and prove that it’s wrong.”
He emphasized, “They even mentioned the specific apartment and the specific address of a house. I had to talk about it because I thought people living there might experience inconvenience. There are people who keep creating rumors maliciously. We need to find the root of these rumors and cut them off.”
