Yoo Ah-in Applied To Change First Trial Date After Appointing More Lawyers

Actor Yoo Ah-in reportedly strengthened his lawyer team ahead of the first trial

On November 12th, it was reported that Yoo Ah-in submitted an application to change the trial date through a law firm on November 10th.

Yoo Ah-in is also known to have appointed an additional lawyer. In addition to Infinity Law Office, Dongjin Law Firm, and Haegwang Law Firm were additionally appointed as his lawyers. As a result, there are eight lawyers representing only him.

Initially, Yoo Ah-in was scheduled to have his first trial date at the Seoul Central District Court at 10:40 a.m. on the 14th.

Cha Sang-woo, a lawyer at Infinity, a law firm in charge of Yoo Ah-in’s defense, told a media outlet on the same day, “We have submitted an application to change the trial date to the court. We are waiting for the court’s decision.”

Earlier, the prosecution indicted Yoo Ah-in without detention on the 19th of last month on charges of habitually administering propofol, buying illegal prescriptions for sleeping pills in other people’s names, smoking marijuana, and destroying evidence.

Yoo Ah-in is suspected of taking propofol 181 times from September 2020 to March last year and illegally buying sleeping pills in the name of another person from May 2021 to August last year.
