In a recent SNS update of BLACKPINK Jennie’s manager, a YG employee can be seen enjoying a NewJeans video.
On July 6th, a member from the manager team of BLACKPINK Jennie, published a video on his Instagram story. In particular, the video captured an employee sitting in the office of YG Entertainment, yet watching a video of NewJeans performing their new song, “ETA”.
At the same time, the manager also added the caption, “There is a spy inside”, raising laughter among fans and the public alike. It seems that even a “rival” is tuning in to NewJeans’ return.
Meanwhile, the NewJeans video being watched seems to be the girl group’s performance of “ETA”, a track from their 2nd mini album “Get Up”. While it has not been officially released, the song has been performed at the July 1st event “Bunnies Camp”, raising expectations and giving a glimpse into NewJeans’ upcoming album.
On the other hand, BLACKPINK, who is in the middle of their world tour, “BORN PINK”, recently shook the scene by performing at the UK’s “BST Hyde Park Music Festival” as the first ever Kpop headliner.
NewJeans, meanwhile, will release their 2nd mini album, “Get Up”, on July 21st. Prior to the album release, they will drop various pre-release tracks, with the most recent being the b-side “New Jeans” – where they collaborate with “The Powerpuff Girls”.
