YG declined Marvel’s offer for BLACKPINK Jennie to join the MCU, said insider

According to an alleged film industry insider, YG turned down an offer for BLACKPINK Jennie’s appearance in a Marvel project.

Previously, various media outlets reported that BLACKPINK Jennie will be joining “Kingdom War – New Agents of Atlas”, an upcoming series produced by Marvel Studios.

Later on June 12th, YG Entertainment denied such reports, stating firmly that there has been no such offer, much to the disappointment of fans.

However, according to an alleged film industry insider, it was YG Entertainment that made the decision to decline Marvel Studios’ offer. This “insider” claimed on Twitter that since 2021, Marvel Studios have been in discussions with YG, expressing their intent to cast Jennie in a project belonging to Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

“YG Entertainment made no response on this offer”, the insider also said, adding, “Their response implied about Jennie’s busy schedule, mentioning that she was unable to commit to multiple projects at the same time due to her intense workload.”

They also stated that Marvels also asked for Jennie’s appearance in upcoming “Avengers” movies, alongside “Kingdom War – New Agents of Atlas”, but YG turned the offer down.

As the news of YG Entertainment’s rejection spreads, fans were left to wonder where the rumor is true, and if yes, the reason behind such a decision.

On the other hand, Jennie recently made her acting debut via the HBO series “The Idol”, where she assumes the role of Dyanne and stars alongside Lily-Rose Depp, The Weeknd, and Troye Sivan, among others.
