On June 7 (local time), Jennie took the stage at the 2026 Governors Ball Music Festival, held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York.
Closing out the festival as one of the headliners, Jennie captivated the audience with her commanding charisma and polished stage presence. Alongside a setlist packed with global hits, she surprised festivalgoers by performing multiple unreleased tracks, turning the atmosphere electric and drawing enthusiastic reactions from the crowd.
Among the standout moments was the full-stage performance of “Lock It Down,” a song Jennie had previously teased during the after-party for the Chanel 2026 Métiers d’Art Seoul Show, held at Hanwha Seoul Pompidou Center on May 26. Backed by numerous dancers, Jennie delivered a tightly choreographed performance that further energized the audience.
As Jennie continues to reveal new songs on stage, excitement surrounding a potential solo album release is rapidly growing. Since late 2024, the singer has steadily built momentum, beginning with “Mantra” and following up with two solo singles. Earlier last year, she reinforced her status as a top-tier solo artist with her full-length album Ruby and title track “Like Jennie.”
Earlier this year, Jennie wrapped up BLACKPINK’s Deadline tour and has since continued connecting with global fans through major festival appearances.
