A shocking incident in Malaysia has left Asian social media communities in grief and confusion as Taiwanese influencer Xie Youxin was found dead in a hotel bathtub while traveling for work. Local media China Press reported that police discovered the 31-year-old unconscious and nude in the tub, covered only with a white towel. Authorities confirmed no visible external injuries, and her body was taken for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Controversial Malaysian musician Namewee was reportedly present at the hotel during the time of the incident. He was later detained after police allegedly recovered nine blue pills suspected to be ecstasy from the scene.

Despite this, Namewee publicly denied both possession and use of drugs, writing on social media:
“The truth will come out when police release their report — it may take two or three months.”
Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil confirmed that Namewee, 42, was arrested on October 22 at 4:30 PM in a hotel room in the Malaysian capital.
Police stated that urine tests showed positive results for amphetamine, ketamine, cannabis, and methamphetamine. Namewee was held for two days and charged on October 24, but later granted bail after denying the allegations. His release has sparked intense debate online, with some questioning whether Xie Youxin herself had consumed substances, while others insist on a fair investigation.
A close friend and manager of Xie Youxin, Chris, said a preliminary hospital report listed cardiac arrest as the cause of death. However, the influencer’s family disputed the claim, insisting that she was in good health and demanding a more thorough investigation.

Before her untimely passing, Xie Youxin worked as a nurse before transitioning into content creation. Loved for her warm, relatable image, she amassed hundreds of thousands of followers and became known as “the Nurse Goddess” online.
Her posts often featured skincare routines, fitness guidance, and humorous short videos, inspiring young women across Asia.
Her sudden death continues to shock fans, with tributes and calls for clarity filling social platforms in Taiwan, Malaysia, and beyond.
