Writer Kim Eun Sook talked about Song Hye Kyo, “She’s a religion to me.”
Kim Eun Sook appeared as a guest on KBS 2 Radio’s “Song Jin Woo’s Brave Radio”, which started at 2 PM on August 15th.
Kim Eun Sook mentioned Song Hye Kyo, who worked with her in “Descendants of the Sun” and “The Glory”. Kim Eun Sook said, “I recently got a text message from Song Hye Kyo saying, ‘I received awards thanks to you.’ I replied, ‘You’re a religion to me.’” Song Hye Kyo won the grand prize at the “Blue Dragon Series Awards” held on July 19th.
Kim Eun Sook also revealed an episode about Lee Byung Hun, who worked with her in “Mr. Sunshine”. Kim Eun Sook shared, “Lee Byung Hun contacted me after reading the script for ‘Mr. Sunshine’. He couldn’t say it was cheesy, so he beat around the bush for 30 minutes. He didn’t get one letter wrong and even acted where the commas went.“
Kim Eun Sook is currently preparing for her next work “Everything Will Come True” starring Kim Woo Bin and Suzy. “Everything Will Come True” is a 12-episode romantic comedy about the story that begins when over-emotional Genie and emotionless Ga Young, who hold the power to determine each other’s life and death, are given three wishes that they don’t know if it’s luck or punishment. It aims to air in 2024.
