Singer Woo Hye-lim, who returned to “Godfather” after giving birth, confessed that she suffered from postpartum depression.
On the May 10th broadcast of KBS 2TV’s entertainment program “Godfather“, Woo Hye-lim, the first daughter of “Godmother” Kang Joo-eun, joined as a special MC. Woo Hye-lim, who returned after giving birth, said, “It’s been 77 days since Si-woo was born.” She added joy by releasing photos and videos of Si-woo, who looks just like her husband Shin Min-chul.
In response to Lee Keum-hee‘s concern about whether she recovered, she confessed, “I’ve gotten a lot better. It was harder for my mind to recover.” Woo Hye-lim, who confessed that she suffered from postpartum depression, made everyone worried by saying, “I imagined and planned the child for 10 months, but the reality was unfamiliar and different, so I cried a lot at first.”
Woo Hye-lim added, “I kept crying at the postpartum care center, crying because my stomach hurt, and crying because my chest hurt. I also cried for no reason due to hormonal changes.” However, Woo Hye-lim was able to overcome the crisis with the help of her family and friends.
Woo Hye-lim expressed her gratitude, “My mom Joo-eun kept in touch with me and sent me flowers. I’d have been depressed if I had been alone. I think I was able to overcome difficulties thanks to the support of viewers and fans.”
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV’s “Godfather” is a program that reinterprets family relations in Korea through a slightly special meeting of stars and asks for the true meaning of family. It airs every Tuesday at 10:40 PM.
