WJSN has re-signed with Starship Entertainment, excluding some members.
On March 3rd, Starship Entertainment announced through WJSN‘s official fan cafe, “We have renewed contracts with eight WJSN members Exy, Seola, Bona, Subin, Eunseo, Yeoreum, Dayoung, and Yeonjung.”
The agency said, “The company and members Luda and Dawon were having honest and in-depth discussions for a long time, but unfortunately, their exclusive contracts have been concluded. We express our deep gratitude to Luda and Dawon for their hard work and dedication.”
Starship added, “The three members of Yuehua Entertainment, who worked together with WJSN, Xuanyi, Cheng Xiao, and Meiqi, will also automatically terminate their contracts with WJSN.”
WJSN, who debuted as a 13-member group in 2016, celebrated their 7th anniversary on February 25th. Since 2018, Chinese members Xuanyi, Cheng Xiao, and Meiqi have suspended their activities in Korea. WJSN has been active as a 10-member group since then.
With the expiration of their contracts, a total of 5 members left the group. Moving forward, WJSN will continue its activities with an 8-member lineup.
