The police responded to the criticism that the handling of Yoo Ah In’s whereabouts is being delayed.
Commissioner Yoon Hee Geun announced plans to investigate Yoo Ah In at a press conference held at the Seodaemun Police Station on May 1st.
When asked if the speed of the investigation was slow after conducting a summoning investigation on Yoo Ah In, Commissioner Yoon said, “Don Spike’s case was simply carried out as one case, so it immediately led to imprisonment after arrest.“
Regarding Yoo Ah In, Commissioner Yoon explained, “This case is different. There are many charges. There are also many subjects that need to be investigated to prove the allegations. There are various hospitals, and it takes time to analyze confiscated items or investigate the subjects. After that, additional investigations will be conducted on those involved, including Yoo Ah In.“
Last year, Don Spike was imprisoned for 3 days after being arrested in the act at a hotel in Gangnam. He was accused of administering methamphetamine several times.
Yoo Ah In is under police investigation after the National Forensic Service’s detailed analysis showed that he tested positive for a total of 4 types of drugs, including marijuana, propofol, cocaine and ketamine. On March 27th, the police summoned Yoo Ah In privately as a suspect and conducted an investigation.
