According to the agency Fantagio, Choi Yoo-jung posted photos of her handwritten letter through official social media on August 23rd, expressing her gratitude to fans.
In her letter, Choi Yoo-jung wrote, “Recently, amidst the chaos and lack of peace of mind, I only just read the letters from fans that I received on the day of our final performance. Despite not being friends or family, I’m grateful to those who understood my preferences and feelings, and who empathized with my lonely nights, silent tears and restless early mornings.”
She continued, “Just as I exist within your time, you also exist within the path I’ve walked, the choices I’ve made and the challenges I’ve faced. I am always thankful for how you comfort me and sincerely support my happiness.”
Choi Yoo-jung expressed a desire to connect more deeply with her fans despite her struggles with expressing affection. She wrote, “I worry that my clumsy expressions of love might make our journey together feel lonely, but I am determined to trust myself more and lean on you, as KI-LING (official fandom) has suggested, and face challenges head-on.”
She also emphasized, “I want to prove that we are still walking together, that our bond is not one-sided. Thanks to the courage and comfort you have given me, I was able to keep moving forward without giving up.”
She concluded, “Thank you for seeing me as a warm and kind person and for recognizing my sincerity. Just like your genuine hearts, I share the same sentiment. I will always be here, so let’s continue to meet for a long time.”
Choi Yoo-jung’s group Weki Meki officially announced the end of their group activities and disbandment on August 8th.
While members Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina and Lucy terminated their exclusive contracts, Choi Yoo-jung, Suyeon and Kim Do-yeon are reportedly still discussing their contract statuses.
