News1 recently conducted a survey on the best singer of 2022.
A total of 33 officials from K-pop agencies participated in this survey, and two teams (people) were selected per person.
As a result of the survey on Dec 17th, IVE (An Yu Jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won Young, Liz, Leeseo) was selected as the “best singer of the year” with 16 out of 63 votes.
An official who picked IVE as the best singer said, “They showed achievements that are hard to see in a girl group that has just debuted for a year. All of their released singles were successful. They ranked high in album sales and music charts. I’m looking forward to their future.” All experts agreed on the opinion that “Both IVE’s topicality and achievements are overwhelming“.
Following IVE were singer Lim Young Woong, BTS, NewJeans and (G)I-DLE, respectively. IU and BLACKPINK each got 3 votes. KARA, who reunited to commemorate their 15th debut anniversary, got 2 votes. NCT Dream, Bibi, Seventeen, Stray Kids, Younha and Crush each got one vote.
