Vietnam official shows gratitude to BLACKPINK after concert in Hanoi

The Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, wrote a letter of appreciation to BLACKPINK after their concert in Vietnam. 

On July 31st, Tran Sy Thanh, the Chairman of the People’s Committee in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, issued an appreciation letter after BLACKPINK’s successful concert in the city.

In particular, the Vietnam official shows gratitude to BLACKPINK, stating,”On July 29th and 30th, BLACKPINK’s concert in Hanoi, which is the final stop of the Asia leg of their 2023 World Tour, have concluded successfully.”

“The two successful concerts have showcased the peaceful and safe image of Hanoi –  ‘City for Peace’, as well as demonstrated its ability to organize global cultural and music events”, he added.

On behalf of Hanoi’s leaders, Tran Sy Thanh then further expressed his gratitude to BLACKPINK for providing a memorable and fantastic night to numerous people both domestically and internationally. He also extended his thanks to the audience who helped make the concert a success, as well as official forces who ensure the safety and organization of the concert. 

Finally, Chairman Tran stated that he hopes Hanoi will welcome more similar events, in order to contribute to the establishing of the city’s cultural industry.

On the other hand, BLACKPINK’s concert in Hanoi, Vietnam, which is the final Asia stop of their BORN World Tour, was held at the My Dinh National Stadium from July 29th to 30th. In 2 nights, they attracted a total of over 65,000 audiences. 

This concert is expected to further enhance Korea’s influence in Vietnam, and create business opportunities as the Hallyu Wave gains momentum.

According to data released by the Korea Foundation (KF) from a survey conducted on 118 countries and 149 overseas missions, as of the end of last year, out of the 178.83 million global Hallyu fans, Vietnam accounted for 13.3 million. This number has increased by a remarkable 223% since the first survey conducted in 2012.
