K-pop group BTS and its member Jimin received a hot love call to become a participant of the American version of King of Masked Singer.
The US news site STYLE CASTER selected the BTS member as one of 10 stars who should participate in the show in an article titled “10 Celebrities Who Should Be on the New Season of ‘The Masked Singer” on December 2nd. The media outlet said, “There have been rumors of BTS on The Masked Singer U.S. for months, and it could finally be time for one of them to wear the mask.” For that reason, the article explained, ” Our pick is Jimin because of his distinguishable voice and smooth vocals.
The U.S. version of “The Mask Singer,” which has been aired since early 2019 after importing the copyright of MBC’s entertainment show “King of Mask Singer,” has gained popularity with performances by popular stars. In particular, the U.S. version of “King of Mask Singer” has become a hot topic thanks to BTS members’ promotion through SNS.
Rumors spread that J-Hope appeared under the mask “The Egg” during the second season of the U.S. version of “King of Mask Singer” but the real star who took off the mask turned out to be figure skater Johnny Weir, which made BTS’s fans even more eager for them to appear.
The media expected that BTS is the most popular boy band in the world, so it will be difficult for them to have time to be on the show, but expressed hope for the appearance with tact, saying, “But never say never!”
