Lollapalooza Chicago Stage
Previously, on August 2, TWICE took the stage as headliners at the Lollapalooza Chicago music festival, held in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois.
This marked TWICE’s first-ever appearance at an overseas music festival. The group delivered a passionate performance with hit songs like “Dance The Night Away” and “What is Love?”, energizing the crowd. While the members received praise for their performance, Jeongyeon, in particular, drew attention for her noticeably changed appearance.

On stage, Jeongyeon wore a white top and denim pants, but unlike the other members who wore crop tops, she opted for a short-sleeve T-shirt. Despite the outfit difference, Jeongyeon impressed with her stage presence and flawless skills, showing off her unique healthy charm.
Reactions quickly followed. Comments such as “overwhelmingly healthy vibe,” “her body proportions are captivating,” and “the only group with Jeongyeon as a member” highlighted the praise she received. However, some fans also expressed concern for her health.

In addition, Jeongyeon temporarily halted her activities twice—once in October 2020 and again in August 2021—due to panic and anxiety disorders, drawing concern and sympathy from fans. There were also worries that public overreactions to Jeongyeon’s appearance, which had changed due to medication, may have worsened her struggles with weight gain.

During her hiatus, [Jeongyeon worked part-time at a friend’s café and shared moments of enjoying hobbies like tennis and surfing, signaling a gradual recovery in her health. Despite some lingering concerns, Jeongyeon showcased solid performances alongside her members at this world-class festival, receiving continued support and praise.
