ALLDAY PROJECT’s Annie Reveals She Trained as a K-pop Idol Remotely for 4 Years in the U.S.

On August 5, the Salon Drip 2 episode featuring ALLDAY PROJECT was uploaded to the ‘THEO’ YouTube channel.

Annie recalled Tarzzan’s past and shared, “He had a playful and cute vibe, so we became close quickly. He used to be a bit nicer than he is now. He didn’t tease me to the extent of saying things like ‘Did you poop?’ Thanks to Tarzzan, I now have ‘poop’ as a related search keyword,” making everyone laugh.

Previously, the official ALLDAY PROJECT YouTube channel uploaded a vlog of the members’ daily lives, where Annie said, “I think I have indigestion because I ate gnocchi as soon as I woke up. My stomach really hurts.” Tarzzan casually asked, “Did you poop?”

Host Jang Do-yeon joked, “From your background and debut performance to bowel movements, now the whole nation knows everything about you. You seem to have it all. How do you feel about that?” Annie responded, “At first, I was worried, thinking, ‘Is it okay for a female singer to have these kinds of related search terms?’ But I accepted it as part of my career. Who knows, I might even get a laxative commercial deal. I try to think positively.”

Meanwhile, Annie also opened up about her journey to debut as a singer. When Jang Do-yeon mentioned, “Some people assume you received the first casting offer because you stand out,” Annie clarified, “I personally auditioned for The Black Label, became a trainee, and later joined the team.”

Because she couldn’t live in Korea as a trainee, Annie explained that she received remote training via video calls and online lessons. “I filmed evaluation videos every week and sent them to the company to get feedback. I did that for about four years. During school breaks, I came to Korea and trained at the company.” Jang Do-yeon commented, “You’re fiercely determined, in the best way,” impressed by Annie’s dedication.

Annie is the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group Chairwoman Lee Myung-hee and the eldest daughter of Shinsegae President Chung Yoo-kyung . When her mother—who initially opposed her singing career—said she’d allow it only if Annie got into an Ivy League school, Annie focused on her studies and was accepted into Columbia University. She made her debut this past June as a member of the co-ed group ALLDAY PROJECT, launched by 1TYM’s Teddy .
