tvN’s drama production halted as actress Jung Chae Yul found dead at home

Jung Chae Yul’s death halts production of tvN drama “Wedding Impossible” in which she was starring. Cause of death unknown.

On April 11th, actress Jung Chae Yul was found dead at her residence, sending shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry. Reports state that she was in the middle of filming for the upcoming tvN drama “Wedding Impossible” before her passing.

According to Star News, the production team of “Wedding Impossible” confirmed that all filming for the drama has been halted due to Jung’s passing. 

A representative stated that they immediately stopped filming upon receiving the news and that shooting has been canceled until at least April 12th, as they try to assess the situation. It has been reported that both the cast and crew are in a state of shock and grief.

“Wedding Impossible” is based on the popular web novel of the same name by author Song Jung Won, featuring a story about a nameless actress preparing for a fake marriage with a gay chaebol heir, and the conflict that ensues when she meets her ambitious younger stepbrother.

The drama stars actors Jeon Jong Seo, Moon Sang Min, Kim Do Wan, and Bae Yoon Kyung, among others. Production for the drama began in mid-February, and it was scheduled to air on tvN later this year.

Jung Chae Yul first gained attention as a model on the 2016 ONSTYLE model survival program “Devil’s Runway.” She then transitioned to acting, making her film debut in “Deep” in 2019 and starring in the KBS2 drama “Zombie Detective” as police officer Bae Yoon Mi in 2020.

The news of Jung Chae Yul’s passing has left fans and colleagues in shock and mourning.
