On February 12th, a blogger with over 7 million followers on Weibo suddenly shared a shocking rumor related to the Chinese showbiz. In particular, this blogger teased the key words, “top star with three-word name”, “baby”, and “fangirl”. Based on these keywords, netizens inferred that a top star with a three-word name has dated a fangirl, got her pregnant, and the baby has been born.
In addition, said blogger also attached a supposed image of Weibo’s most popular Chinese artists. Since “top star” is a keyword, many people started to pay attention to Cai Xukun and Liu Yuning, who have three-word names and appear on the image.
However, netizens then pointed out that the image published by the aforementioned blogger is not actually used to rank the real popularity on Weibo. According to them, Liu Yuning cannot yet be considered a top star, and even fans of the singer-actor stayed humble and expressed agreement.
