Top Actress Criticized by VIP Guest for Arrogant Behavior at Louis Vuitton Show

On March 6th, an incident involving Chinese top actress Zhou Dongyu allegedly displaying a celebrity disease and showing little regard for others at the recent Louis Vuitton fashion show during Paris Fashion Week, has ignited a hot topic in China. The one exposing the actress’s attitude was fashion blogger Yvette, a VIP guest at the event.
According to Yvette, at the Louis Vuitton show, Zhou Dongyu appeared consistently displeased, avoided engaging with photographers, and declined to take photos with fellow guests. Yvette revealed she had even complained about Zhou Dongyu’s behavior to Louis Vuitton.
“Zhou Dongyu shouldn’t attend if she’s not willing to promote herself and the brand,” Yvette asserted. “Louis Vuitton arranged for her to participate in photo sessions with VIP guests to enhance brand visibility. Yet, she consistently found reasons to decline, whether it was changing shoes, refusing to remove her coat, or simply appearing unhappy. Throughout the event, she kept a sullen look and failed to acknowledge greetings from photographers. Her behavior was truly disappointing! I’ve lodged a complaint about her behavior with Louis Vuitton,” Yvette expressed her frustration on Weibo.
The “drama” between Zhou Dongyu and fashion blogger Yvette quickly gained netizens’ attention, quickly becoming the second most trending topic on Weibo.
While some criticized Zhou Dongyu, some have expressed skepticism regarding the allegations made by Yvette, suggesting that there may be more to the story. Video footage from behind the scenes of the event portrays Zhou Dongyu as polite and amiable with other guests. As of now, Zhou Dongyu has yet to respond to the allegation.
According to reports from Sina, this recent controversy isn’t the first time Zhou Dongyu has faced criticism for unprofessional behavior and poor treatment of colleagues.
In 2023, she came under fire for disrespecting and engaging in a tense standoff with veteran actor Ge You during the Golden Rooster Awards. Additionally, Zhou Dongyu has previously been embroiled in a controversy over rudeness towards senior actor Sun Honglei.
