“This star” was a college student majoring in theater and film who had no interest in singing at all?

BTS Jin showed off his sense of entertainment by appearing in “Nothing Prepared” and shared his debut story as well as his trainee days.

BTS Jin is a hot topic after he appeared exclusively on the YouTube channel “Nothing Prepared.”

Jin had a pleasant time with host Lee Young-ji as the last guest on the YouTube entertainment show “Nothing Prepared,” which was released on Oct 19th.

In particular, while talking to Lee Young-ji, he said, “There is nothing I’m interested in in this life except me, BTS, and my fans. I tend to forget what happens to what I like,” he confessed.

He then started talking about his trainee life when he was 20 years old and had no friends. “If you look at the list of my saved phone numbers, there are less than 10 celebrity friends,” he said.

In fact, Jin is known to have debuted after being cast by his current agency when he was a freshman in college.

Jin appeared on tvN’s “Yoo Quiz on the Block,” which aired in March last year, and told the story of how he entered Big Hit Entertainment, his agency.

“When I was 20, I was cast on my way to school,” he said.  He then said, “Isn’t I still handsome from afar? I just got off the bus, and a casting team member grabbed me and said, ‘I’ve never seen a face like you in my life.'”

He then said, “(The casting team employee said) ‘Please take our audition once. This person (Bang Si-hyuk) is the CEO of our company’, and he probably said that his eyes would open when he saw my face,” making the set a sea of laughter.

In response, MC Yoo Jae-seok asked, “Then did you have no dream of becoming a celebrity until then?” and Jin replied, “I was going to be an actor.”

In fact, Jin is known to have graduated from the Department of Theater and Film at Konkuk University.

Jin, who had been a trainee since then, finally made his debut in the music industry as a member of BTS on June 13th, 2013.

They had been steadily engaged in music activities and have grown into the top boy group representing Korea in name and reality. BTS, including Jin, have established themselves as “21st century pop icons” by promoting Korea around the world.

Meanwhile, Jin will cancel his application for enlistment postponement at the end of this month and begin military service as soon as the enlistment warrant is issued. 

Prior to this, he will release his solo single “The Astronut,” which he worked on with Coldplay, on Oct 28th.
