This model turns out to be double for Kim Mo Mi’s dancing scenes in “Mask Girl”

“Mask Girl” Kim Mo Mi’s dance when wearing a mask was actually performed by model Ji Ji An.

Recently, Ji Ji An released several behind-the-scenes pictures and videos on her SNS account, drawing attention by revealing that she acted as Kim Mo Mi when dancing with a mask on.

In particular, Ji Ji An also shared about the process of practicing the dance. She said, “I started learning the choreography in January last year and filmed the scenes in August. I still remember practicing 2-3 hours a day with dancers at YGX 3-4 times a week until March”.

The female model added, “The entire dance was not shown in the drama so it might look easy but after dancing to the whole song, I collapsed on the floor. Thanks to it, I lost 3-4kg. I’m happy that ‘Mask Girl’ has been released and received explosive responses”.

Perhaps it was thanks to Ji Ji An’s passionate dance that further highlighted the characteristics of Kim Mo Mi and helped “Mask Girl” captivate viewers around the world.

Directed by Kim Yong Hoon, “Mask Girl” tells about Kim Mo Mi, an ordinary office worker with an appearance complex who gets caught up in an unexpected incident while working as an Internet broadcasting BJ every night with her face covered with a mask. Lee Han Byul, Nana, and Go Hyun Jung took turns to portray Kim Mo Mi in different stages of her life. The drama also stars Yeom Hye Ran and Ahn Jae Hong.

Releasing all seven episodes on August 18th, Netflix’s original series “Mask Girl” topped the Today’s Content chart shortly after then and rose significantly on global charts.

On the 23rd, Netflix stated, “According to Netflix’s TOP 10 data, ‘Mask Girl’ recorded 2.8 million views”, adding “It currently ranks No.2 in Netflix’s non-English Worldwide TV Shows”. The drama entered Top 10 not only in Korea but also in 14 other countries, including Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
