This male singer debuted through street casting because he was super handsome

Now known for his entertainment personality, this male singer surprised people with his attractive-looking past.

Singer and broadcaster Kangnam, whose real name is Yasuo Namekawa, made his debut with the hiphop group MIB in 2011, and managed to attract huge attention for his music. After his group activities ended, the singer appeared in various entertainment programs, and drew an intense amount of love for his playfulness and honest charm.

Recently, Kangnam has been making headlines after appearing alongside his mother in the TV show “Fantastic Family – DNA Singer”. When asked about the reason why he chose to appear with his mother, the singer explained: “A year ago, I was offered an offer to appear with mom on another broadcast, but I refused because I feared that my mother would have a hard time.”

He then continued: “When I said that, my mother got mad. She said, ‘Why are you rejecting on my behalf? She even swore at me, saying,’What are you, son of a bitch’.” At this, Kangnam’s mother, who was sitting next to him, pinched her son with a startled expression, causing him to laugh.

Then, Kangnam’s mother discussed the playful childhood of the singer, saying: “I was originally an introvert, but as I was raising Gangnam, I became stronger.”

In the end, Kangnam attracted attention as he revealed his handsome appearance in the past.

The CEO of an entertainment agency actually scouted me on the street. I looked very handsome back then, just like current male idols. However, I naturally became like this because I keep joking with someone like Lee Soo Geun on variety shows,” the singer said jokingly.
