This K-drama actor used to be famous, but his visual and career have both gone downhill
Once regarded to be a visual god, this K-drama actor is going to return in a new project.
Kim Ki Bum debuted as a member of Kpop group Super Junior in 2005, and went viral for his role in “Sharp 2” in the same year. With his outstanding and youthful appearance in school uniform, Kim Ki Bum quickly became the first heart-flutter for many K-drama fans.
After the success of “Sharp 2”, Kim Ki Bum became so popular that people started to forget he was an idol, having scored numerous hits such as “Nonstop 6”, “Snow Flower”, “Chun Ja’s Happy Events”, and so on. However, in 2013, the idol-actor tried to branch to the Chinese market with little success, and his fame in Korea also came to a halting stop. As a result, Kim Ki Bum went 6 entire years with no notable projects, a stark difference to his previous prime.
In 2018, Ki Bum officially returned to Korea, and totally shocked people with his disappointing visuals. In January 2022, the actor signed with PA Entertainment to continue pursuing acting, and while he tried to revive the previous appearance, Ki Bum’s efforts mostly came to naught.
