“All In,” a drama in which Song Hye-kyo starred, is said to be so popular when it was aired that there were many people who secretly watched that drama in North Korea.
As a result, as this drama became popular in North Korea, many North Korean women tried to follow the same hairstyle as Song Hye-kyo’s in the drama.
As this is not a positive sign to the North Korean society, North Korea’s high-ranking authorities reportedly cracked down on women with these hairstyles for a long while for indecency.
