A former girl group member has revealed her current status as a successful businesswoman, surprising many.

Choi Yoon Jin, a former member of girl group TINT, who is famous for being a beauty in Gunsan, has turned her life around after 10 years.

In particular, Choi Yoon Jin debuted as a member of TINT in 2013 under the stage name “Jamie”, and released various albums with cute concepts. However, the group failed to gain significant attention and ended up disbanding in 2015.

Recently, through her YouTube channel, Choi Yoon Jin shared her past struggles, saying, “Even during my idol days, I had to work part-time to support my living expenses. I thought just being on stage made me happy, and I didn’t need to earn money. But reality was different. Debuting alone doesn’t guarantee a stable income.”

Choi Yoon Jin, who worked multiple jobs day and night since childhood, also revealed her family’s difficult situation, saying, “My father passed away three years ago, and my mother was diagnosed with cancer while taking care of him, so it hasn’t been long since she had surgery. I have three siblings; but my brother had an accident and has some physical discomfort. I’m the second child, but I grew up like the eldest daughter.”

After retiring from the entertainment industry, Choi Yoon Jin ventured into the café business and is currently running a café and a Japanese-style pub. She initially started with debts, but now her café earns around 12 million KRW per month (around 9,200 USD), and the izakaya earns around 75 million KRW per month (around 57,800 USD), surprising many with her success.

The former female idol achieves life turnaround after 10 years, yet is still thrifty.

In particular, she shared, “I know business is not always doing well, so I only spend 1.5 million KRW per month out of the income, and the rest goes into savings. Besides rent, I spend less than 500,000 KRW personally, and I don’t even own a car. Just coming from Gunsan to Seoul is already a success for me. I also run a personal YouTube channel, so I ask for your continued support and interest.”
