Ahn Hyo-seop recently stole female fans’ hearts by playing the role of Kang Tae-moo, a handsome CEO in SBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Business Proposal”.
However, Ahn Hyo-seop once confessed that he hated his tall height. Appearing on a program in the past, the actor said, “I really wanted to be shorter”.
As a former trainee in JYP Entertainment, Ahn Hyo-seop practiced hard while living in the same dormitory with GOT7 but failed to join the debut group. Many people might think that he was not good enough, but the reason turned out to be because of his exceptionally tall height.
While studying in Canada, Ahn Hyo-seop suddenly received a call from JYP informing him that he passed the audition. Since Ahn Hyo-seop’s parents wanted their son to become a diplomat, they naturally opposed the offer.
At the age of 17, Ahn Hyo-seop eventually persuaded his parents to allow him to come to Korea alone and spent 3 years as a trainee. Realizing that being an idol didn’t suit him, he left the company and began his career as an actor.
Unintentionally, Ahn Hyo-seop has appeared in many Monday-Tuesday dramas. Most of his works, such as “Business Proposal”, his previous work “Lovers of the Red Sky”, “Still 17” and “Dr. Romantic 2”, were Monday-Tuesday dramas.
Meanwhile, Ahn Hyo-seop was cast for the main character role in “A Time Called You”, a Korean remake version of the famous Taiwanese drama “Someday or One Day”, and will work with Jeon Yeo-bin and Kang Hoon.
