Thieves broke into Lee Byung-hun’s $2 million LA home

On Jan 29th (local time), US entertainment media outlet TMZ reported, “‘Squid Game’ star Lee Byung-hun LA home burglarized and trashed!!! One of Lee Byung-hun’s staff members stopped by his Los Angeles area home last week to find the place ransacked. We’re told the thieves smashed a sliding glass door to get inside the house.”

This house is a second house purchased by Lee Byung-hun in 2019 due to his frequent Hollywood activities and international schedules.

Located near Universal Studios, it is known to have been purchased for $2 million.

Fortunately, Lee Byung-hun was not at home when the thieves broke in. It is reported that an acquaintance discovered the scene and reported it to the police.

Local police say this appears to be the work of one of the burglary crews that have been robbing wealthy neighborhoods around LA.

Earlier, thieves also broke into the home of actress Lena Waithe nearby, causing damages of $200,000 in jewelry stolen.

However, Lee Byung-hun’s agency BH Entertainment stated, “It is true that there was a break-in at his US home. It was confirmed that there was no significant damages.

Meanwhile, Lee Byung-hun entered Hollywood through the film “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”, which was released in 2009.

Afterwards, he appeared in “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” (2013), “Red 2” (2013), “Misconduct” (2016) and “The Magnificent Seven” (2016).

Netflix’s series drama “Squid Game 2” starring Lee Byung-hun is about to be released this year.
