Actress Shin Si Ah will join Shin Won Ho’s team through “Hospital Playlist” spinoff
According to media reports on September 20th, Shin Si Ah is adjusting her schedule to star in tvN’s “Wise Resident’s Life” (literal title) as a main character. In this regard, Shin Si A’s agency responded, “We are positively reviewing the casting offer”.
As a spinoff of “Hospital Playlist”, this drama depicts the life and friendship stories of university hospital professors and residents revolving around OB-GYN doctors working while moving back and forth between Yulje Main Hospital and Yulje Hospital in Jongno.
Actress Go Yoon Jung was the first to confirm her appearance in the drama. Shin Si A is expected to play another female lead and work with Go Yoon Jung.
This spinoff project drew particular attention due to the participation of director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung, who created the popular “Reply” and “Hospital Playlist” series, as creators. The two will join hands with “Stain” & “Let’s Meet in an Unfamiliar Season” director Lee Min Soo and “Reply 1988” & “Hospital Playlist” assistant writer Kim Song Hee to produce the spinoff.
The production team plans to draw sympathy by telling the first experience at workplaces that everyone has and stories of free-spirited young people amid harsh training processes and their journey to grow as doctors.
Expectations are high for Shin Si A’s performance in her first time appearing in a work by director Shin Won Ho as well as her potential on the small screen after gaining recognition in Chungmuro through the film “The Witch 2” (2022).
“Hospital Playlist” spinoff “Wise Resident’s Life” is set to air in the first half of 2024.
