The video of Yoo Ah In’s “Cocaine Dance” resurfaces amid drug controversy 

While drug charges against actor Yoo Ah In are being revealed one after another, criticism surrounding him continues.

A representative example is the “Cocaine Dance” featuring Yoo Ah In. Recently, a video of Yoo Ah In doing a cocaine dance was posted on online communities in Korea. It shows Yoo Ah In performing the ‘cocaine dance’ to the music in various ways, making people laugh.

The video does not actually feature Yoo Ah In. It is Heo Sung Tae doing the cocaine dance on Coupang Play’s entertainment program “SNL Korea 2” aired in February of last year. It was edited using deepfake technology.

The reason why this video resurfaces is that because Yoo Ah In was accused of using cocaine as well as marijuana and propofol.

On February 17th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit was notified of the detailed analysis result from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (NFS) that Yoo Ah In’s hair tested positive for cocaine and ketamine.

As a result, a total of four drug substances were detected in Yoo Ah In’s hair: hemp, propofol, cocaine, and ketamine.

As the drug charges surrounding Yoo Ah In are revealed one after another, criticism towards him is also increasing. This is because Yoo Ah In has always expressed his thoughts on various pending issues, but he has kept quiet about his drug charges.

Yoo Ah In will take over the police investigation. The police plan to summon Yoo Ah In as a suspect in violation of the Narcotics Control Act to investigate how he purchased drugs and how he used them.
