The story of a fan meeting Park Bo-gum at a public bathhouse and having conversations with him while being naked

This fan showed admiration for Park Bo-gum, whom he met by chance at a public bathhouse in 2015.

It would be so lucky to meet celebrities in unexpected places, not at fansigning events or concerts. What if the person sitting next to you were the famous actor Park Bo-gum? What if it were at a public bathhouse where everyone is seen completely naked?

A fan met Park Bo-gum by chance at a bathhouse and spent time having such a meaningful conversation that will remain in memory for the rest of his life. This story was recently posted on the online community ‘Humor Univ’.

It happened in spring 2015. A stopped by a public bathhouse in Mok-dong, Seoul, and entered a hot bath. In the bath, he noticed a handsome man whom he seemed to have seen somewhere. At that moment, a name with 3 letters “Park Bo-gum” suddenly appeared in A’s thoughts.

Park Bo-gum appeared in several works at that time but his brand recognition was not very high. (The rising star Park Bo-gum began working as an MC for KBS2’s “Music Bank” in May of that year).

A pretended not to recognize Park Bo-gum. However, when Park Bo-gum came out of the bath, A purposely went to the shower booth next to Park Bo-gum’s and initiated a conversation with him. “Aren’t you Park Bo-gum, who starred in ‘Bridal Mask’,‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’, and ‘Coin Lokcer Girl’?”, A asked. Park Bo-gum bowed his head and said, “That’s right. Thank you for recognizing me”.

The two then talked about this and that while taking a shower. A asked, “If you don’t mind, can I ask for your autograph and a photo later?”. Park Bo-gum agreed with a friendly expression, saying, “No problem. It’s so nice to meet a fan in such an unexpected place”.A also expressed his admiration for Park Bo-gum, who was so polite with every word he said.

After taking a shower, A went out of the bathhouse building with Park Bo-gum and asked an old lady passing by to take a two-shot photo of them. A also received Park Bo-gum‘s autograph. However, after that, Park Bo-gum went back inside the bathhouse. A wondered why and asked if he left anything behind, Park Bo-gum replied, “I told the person at the counter I went out a bit to take a photo together. I’m going to stay in the sauna for longer.”

Touched by Park Bo-gum’s sincere fan service, A bowed and said, “Thank you so much.” Then, Park Bo-gum also bowed his head and humbly told A, “Every single person who cares about me is precious.” Before saying goodbye, A said, “I saw that you were cast in the ‘Reply’ series this time. Hopefully, it is going to be a big success.” Park Bo-gum once again expressed his gratitude, “Thank you again and I will repay you for your support.”

A wrote at the end of the post, “I felt proud that Park Bo-gum became popular after that and rose to stardom as he appeared in other dramas and variety shows. I hope he will continue to succeed in the future.”

​​Starting with the movie “Blind” in 2011, Park Bo-gum continued to make an impression by taking on supporting and minor roles in “A Hard Day,” “Roaring Currents,” and “Coin Locker Girl”. In 2015, he began to receive attention in his 20s by being selected as a fixed MC for KBS2’s “Music Bank” alongside Red Velvet’s Irene. He then gained huge popularity for playing the lead in dramas such as “Reply 1988,” “Love in the Moonlight,” “Encounter,” and “Record of Youth.” In 2020, Park Bo-gum enlisted in the military and was discharged early last month. The public is now looking forward to his future projects. 

In a recent poll conducted by Seven Edu with 708 participants, Park Bo-gum was voted No.1 in “Stars I want to pick if they appear in the presidential election”. Seven Edu said Park Bo-gum ranked 1st place thanks to his sincere and polite image.
