“How could it be so perfect?” The reason Choi Ye Na invited Be’O to feature in her comeback song
Singer Choi Ye Na revealed herself as a fan of rapper Be’O and thanked him for featuring in her new song “Love War”.
The showcase to celebrate the release of Choi Ye Na’s first single album “Love War” was held at the Blue Square Mastercard Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul at 4 p.m. on January 16th.
“Love War” is Choi Ye Na’s comeback release in about 5 months since her second mini album “SMARTPHONE” in August last year. It depicts the process of love from the perspective of Choi Ye Na.
Choi Ye Na participated in writing and composing her title song “Love War (Feat. Be’O)”. With straightforward lyrics and groovy melodies, this track expresses the most uncertain and sluggish period in love. Choi Ye Na and Be’O transformed into lovers just before a breakup and sang the song from their own perspective.
During the showcase, Choi Ye Na said, “I kept listening to ‘Love War’ and discussing with COLD PD while producing the album. I thought, ‘There’s no one who can feature in this song other than Be’O.’, then contacted him”, adding “Be’O was willing to work with me and he said the song was good. I want to take this opportunity to thank him.”
According to Choi Ye Na, her first collaboration with Be’O was perfect. The female singer shared, “At first, I sent Be’O the song without his part. I listened to it again after he recorded his part and sent it back to me. I couldn’t believe how he completed the song so perfectly. He made it sound like an original song. It was perfect”, adding “I even wondered, ‘Was it because I’m a fan of him?’. Throughout the album preparation, everything went smoothly without any trouble. It was done perfectly like putting the puzzle pieces together”.
Choi Ye Na’s first single album “Love War” featuring Be’O will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. today (January 16th).
