Park Jin Joo revealed her respect for Yoo Jae Suk.
On the afternoon of Jan 16th, an interview with actress Park Jin Joo, who appeared in the movie “Hero”, was held at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.
“Hero” (directed by Yoon Je Kyoon, distributed by CJ ENM, produced by JK Film, co-produced by ACOM·CJ ENM) follows the true story of An Jung Geun, a Korean-independence activist who assassinated Itō Hirobumi, the first Prime Minister of Japan and Resident-General of Korea in 1909.
Park Jin Joo has been active as a fixed member of MBC’s weekend entertainment program “Hangout with Yoo” since last year. She won “Rookie Award in Variety Category – Female” at the 2022 MBC Entertainment Awards.
Park Jin Joo said, “What changed after doing variety shows is that I became a ‘familiar face’ to people. I became a person who is like the public’s close friend. I feel like I was a bit of help to the ‘Hero’ team. It’s great.“
In particular, Park Jin Joo mentioned her senior Yoo Jae Suk. She observed Yoo Jae Suk, whom she first met through a variety show, and thought, “He has daily schedules, right?“
She admired, “What he usually says is important, but thanks to him, the lives of people around him will also change. Yoo Jae Suk lives as if he has daily schedules. I wonder, ‘How can he live like that?’“
Park Jin Joo smilingly shared, “He goes to bed early, exercises every day and goes home immediately after work. He lives like this. He doesn’t drink alcohol at all. He stays away from risk factors. He’s living a proper life. I think I should live a proper life now.“
Meanwhile, “Hero” is cruising towards 3 million cumulative audiences.
