The reason behind Hyun Bin & Song Hye Kyo’s breakup may be a heart-fluttering kiss scene with Tang Wei? 

The emotional kiss between Hyun Bin and actress Tang Wei suddenly become a hot topic after over a decade.

With Tang Wei’s impressive cinematic return in “Decision to Leave”, netizens start to recall previous acting projects of the actresses, including the “Late Autumn”, where she co-starred alongside famous actor Hyun Bin. 

As a result, the kissing scene between Hyun Bin and Tang Wei also became a hot topic on the SNS platform Twitter. 

Box office hit “Late Autumn” follows the inmate Anna (played by Tang Wei), a Chinese-American who was released for 3 days to attend her mother’s funeral in Seattle. 7 years ago, she was arrested for murdering her husband. 

Anna decided to catch a bus to Seattle, where she met Hoon (played by Hyun Bin), a Korean golfer. They spent the next 72 hours together without much words, and yet it was enough for them to develop feelings. 

The movie was once a sensation across Asia, so many audiences feel emotional thinking back at the sad love story between Hyun Bin and Tang Wei’s character. They also mentioned the iconic kiss scene between the two, where love seemed to have overflowed through the scene. 

Due to their explosive chemistry at the time, many people actually suspected Tang Wei of being the reason behind Hyun Bin and Song Hye Kyo’s breakup. In particular, they pointed fingers towards the many romantic scenes of “Late Autumn”, and the kiss scene, which was unscripted and lasted for almost 2 minutes. 

As a result, Hyun Bin and Tang Wei had to clarify that they were only colleagues amid heavy doubts from netizens. 

Now, both Tang Wei and Hyun Bin are happy with their respective marriages. Hyun Bin recently tied the knot with his “Crash Landing On You” co-star Son Ye Jin, and is currently expecting his first child. Meanwhile, Tang Wei married the Korean film director Kim Tae Yong back in 2014, and gave birth to her daughter 2 years later.  

Tang Wei recently appeared in the mystery movie “Decision to Leave”, while Hyun Bin is scheduled to return in the action film “Confidential Assignment 2: International”, slated to hit the cinemas within this year.
