The male leads of “Twenty Five, Twenty One” and “Forecasting Love and Weather” were criticized for this same reason

The two hottest Korean weekend dramas have one thing in common: their male leads are both criticized for poor acting skills.

Twenty Five, Twenty One” and “Forecasting Love and Weather” are currently the two most popular weekend dramas on Korean small screen.  Despite their different storylines, the two dramas have one similarity: they both have younger male leads who are well-known for their bad acting.

 1. Nam Joo Hyuk (Twenty Five, Twenty One)

Twenty Five, Twenty One” is currently the drama with the most stable rating among newly aired Korean series. Videos from this drama also cause a fever on social media platforms. In “Twenty Five, Twenty One,” Nam Joo Hyuk takes on the male lead role, alongside Kim Tae Ri, one of the actresses possessing the top acting ability of the Korean film industry. As an actor with controversial acting, this time, Nam Joo Hyuk’s ability has improved a bit but is still completely inferior to Kim Tae Ri’s. Although his expression has become more flexible, in every moment, his eyes look extremely lifeless as if he lacked sleep.

 2. Song Kang (Forecasting Love and Weather)

“Forecasting Love and Weather” airs on the same day as “Twenty Five, Twenty One” and has closely followed the opponent on the rating race.  This is also the first JTBC drama to surpass the rating of 5%, a number that JTBC has not achieved in the past 8 months.

In the drama, Song Kang is paired with Park Min Young, who has nothing to criticize in terms of acting. Like Nam Joo Hyuk, Song Kang, despite having acted in many dramas, was constantly criticized for his acting. In this project, Song Kang looks absolutely handsome, but that’s all. His acting has not improved much compared to his “Nevertheless” or “Love Alarms” days, perhaps because he has participated in too many dramas and not given himself time to take a break and improve.
