The late Sulli’s last work to be released after 4 years, Netflix reveals stance

“Persona: Sulli”, the last work filmed by the late Sulli, is scheduled for release after a long time.

On June 1st, Mystic Story submitted the omnibus “Persona: Sulli” for review to the Film Classification Committee. According to the submitted materials, Hwang Soo Ah, Kim Ji Hye, and Jung Yoon Seok participated in the Netflix project.

Earlier, after the trailer for “Persona: Sulli” was released on Netflix Brazil in May, Mystic Story stated, “We are in discussions regarding the release schedule and overall coordination”.

In the mean time, it is known that “Persona: Sulli” is also under consideration for air in Korea. Regarding this, Netflix told Spotify News on June 8th, “‘Persona: Sully’ is a work produced by Mystic Story, and overall discussions are currently underway on the final release date and whether it will stream on Netflix.”

On the other hand, “Persona: Sulli” is a special omnibus project, where Sulli worked with different directors and showcased her different acting images. It is a follow-up of the first “Persona” project, which starred IU and was released on Netflix in 2019.

“Persona: Sulli” was originally planned as a series of short films starring the late Sulli and five directors, but production was temporarily halted after Sulli passed away at the age of 25 in 2019, while two parts were still in progress.

Sulli, who debuted as a child actor in the 2005 KBS drama “Ballad of Seodong”, became a member of girl group “f(x)” in 2009. She later appeared as an actress in movies and series such as “The Pirates”, “Fashion King”, “To the Beautiful You”, and “Hotel del Luna”.

As an idol, Sulli released “Goblin” as a solo artist, and various hits such as “Rum Pum Pum Pum”, “Red Light”, and “Hot Summer” as a part of f(x).
