“The Idol”, Jennie’s acting debut, reportedly contains a “disturbing” rape scene

The rape scene was said to have been removed from the final edit of “The Idol.”

Recently, an insider source revealed that there was a nonconsensual sex scene between Tedros (The Weeknd) and Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) but was edited out in the final edit. The scene was filmed at the Bel Air mansion, The Weeknd’s residence in LA.

The “Euphoria” director told Tedros to choke Jocelyn and coerce her into having unprotected sex. However, the informant said it was strictly fictional, not real. Nonetheless, it was revealed that director Levinson was laughing during the said scene, especially when the Canadian singer said lines such as “I own you.” While the scene was being filmed, most staff on the set was feeling uncomfortable.

The two actors were pressured by the director to perform hot scenes.

Another insider revealed the rape scene was supposed to get Jocelyn pregnant but was removed from the story due to changes in the script and was “a normal part of the creative process on a television series,” said the second informant.

They also revealed that Levinson did not take consent lightly, and the creative team valued a safe, cooperative, and respectful working environment. There was an intimacy coordinator for explicit scenes in the series.

Nonetheless, the intimacy coordinator Mam Smith did not comment on the revealed information; Levinson’s representative, The Weeknd, and Lily-Rose Depp also reserved from making any comments.

At the same time, an HBO spokesperson said, “‘The Idol’ is a fictional show with flawed, fictional characters. The director and actors were all doing their jobs. It is a television series and therefore not real.

The Idol” aired the last episode on July 2, one episode shorter than expected. It came to a confusing end and most of the overall run time was reserved for irrelevant explicit scenes, said viewers of the show.
