On June 14th, Lee Do Hyun mentioned his plans for military enlistment in interviews after the conclusion of “The Good Bad Mother”.
In particular, the actor said, “This year, I have decided to apply for military service, so before that, I want to travel. I won’t be able to travel abroad right before enlistment, so now I’m thinking of taking my parents to Jeju Island for a vacation.”
Lee Do Hyun also emphasized that “The Good Bad Mother” is his last work before enlisting.
“I still want to participate in other projects, but if I receive an enlistment notice while filming, the filming schedule would have to be adjusted, and everyone would be affected”, he confessed, explaining, “If everyone has to rush and film with a tight schedule because of me, I would feel extremely guilty. Therefore, even though I still want to take on more work, I decided to turn down all offers.”
Finally, Lee Do Hyun added that he has always considered early enlistment before, and expressed his wishes to have a variety of life experiences in the army.
“I want to converse with people a lot during my military service, since I didn’t have the chance to talk to a lot of people from different aspects of life with my busy schedule. I want to enlist and learn about the strengths of different people, and I believe that I will grow as an actor during enlistment”, the actor said.
