International fans urge SM to protect Lucas, who recently left NCT and WayV due to controversies over his personal life.
International fans of former NCT/WayV member Lucas recently sent protest trucks filled with messages in both English and Korean to SM Entertainment’s headquarters, demanding the company’s protection of Lucas.
The banners on the trucks read, “SM do your job,” “SM take legal action and protect Lucas!”, “Justice for Lucas”, “Protect solo artist Lucas.”
International fans cited baseless malicious rumors surrounding Lucas as the reason to demand justice for the idol.
Their plea to SM Entertainment reads, “Address all unfounded rumors and ensure Lucas’s safety, both mentally and physically. A management company that cannot protect their artist has no value.”
Last month, Lucas officially left NCT and WayV. SM Entertainment explained that Lucas decided to pursue solo activities and that it was a choice made for the sake of both NCT/WayV members and the fans.
Lucas debuted as a member of NCT in 2018. In August 2021, he was caught up in controversies over his interactions with fans, dating rumors, and inappropriate behavior in the past. At that time, Lucas issued an apology to those who were hurt by his actions and temporarily halted his activities.
