An overseas date of Song Joong Ki and his wife Katy Louise Saunders has been captured.
On June 7th, photos of Song Joong Ki and Katy taken in Rome were revealed by overseas netizens on an online community.
Earlier, in February, Song Joong Ki departed with his wife Katy for the filming of the movie “My Name is Loh Kiwan.”
Afterward, on May 25th, at the 76th Cannes International Film Festival, Song Joong Ki’s film “Hopeless” was invited to the notable section, and he was scheduled to attend the official ceremony with his wife Katy.
However, due to the violent scenes in the film, it was deemed inappropriate for a pregnant woman to watch, so Song Joong Ki attended the event alone.
The movie “My Name is Loh Kiwan,” which Song Joong Ki filmed with his wife Katy after their departure in February to Hungary, completed its filming on May 31st and is currently in post-production.
“My Name is Loh Kiwan,” in which Song Joong Ki was cast as the lead role, is based on the original novel and depicts the love and parting of Kiwan, a defector who arrives in Belgium with the last hope of life, and Marie, a woman who has lost the reason for living. Choi Sung Eun was cast as Marie, a Korean shooting athlete who lost her reason for living and holds Belgian citizenship.
The film “Hopeless,” which was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month, tells the story of Yeon Gyu (Hong Sa Bin), the brother of Ha Yan (Bibi), who meets Chi Geom (Song Joong Ki), a mid-level boss in an organization, in order to escape from a hellish reality.
In particular, despite being a supporting role and not the lead, “Hopeless” is a film in which Song Joong Ki appeared as a no-pay actor. He said, “I want to support rookie actors.“
“Hopeless” and “My Name is Loh Kiwan” are scheduled to be released on Netflix in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
