Actresses Jung Chae-yeon and Yeon-woo of “The Golden Spoon” revealed some interesting keywords about their upcoming drama.
MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “The Golden Spoon” (scripted by Yoon Eun-kyung, Kim Eun-hee/ directed by Song Hyun-wook, Lee Han-joon/ produced by Samhwa Networks, Studio N), which will air the first episode at 9:45 p.m on September 23rd, is based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name that depicts the life adventure story in which a child born in a poor family accidentally becomes a golden spoon after changing his fate with a friend born in a wealthy family.
In “The Golden Spoon”, Jung Chae-yeon and Yeon-woo played characters who were born and raised as daughters of rich families but have opposite personalities. Jung Chae-yeon appears as Na Joo-hee, who lives a simple and modest life despite her wealthy background. Meanwhile, Yeon-woo plays Oh Yeo-jin, who already has a lot of things but wants to gain more.
Jung Chae-yeon revealed “mindfulness” as the first keyword for “The Golden Spoon”. Explaining it, the actress said, “I think the direction of life changes depending on our mindsets”.
Yeon-woo used “viewers” to describe “The Golden Spoon”. She said, “As the existence of all the people who love the drama is our happiness and joy, I think the keyword for ‘The Golden Spoon’ is you all who love us”.
The two actresses also mentioned the atmosphere of the drama filming set. Jung Chae-yeon shared, “Everyone was so bright and cheerful so we smiled and filmed the drama happily on the set. I want to thank everyone for always creating such a comfortable atmosphere”. Yeon-woo also added, “I’m filming in a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere on the set thanks to my friends. We plays pranks and helps each other relax all the time. Kim Kang-min (as Jang-goon), Noh Sung-eun (as Yoon-su), Lee Min-jae (as Min-ho), Jo Deok-hoe (as Jae-don) and Kim Eun-soo (as Dong-kyung) also make jokes and have fun with me during our breaks.”
“The Golden Spoon” will air its first episode at 9:45 p.m on September 23rd as a follow-up series to “Big Mouse”. It will also be available on the global streaming services Disney+ and wavvve.
